SMILE AFRICA
orphanage and day school
tororo uganda
we visit about two times a week
–Atoka, a little boy i’ve befriended, i didn’t really have a choice…he followed me everywhere
the little one is not a sibling- just a friend or
something…everyone just takes care of each other
She was very sick

kyle and friends playing on the teeter totter

me and atoka- he was eating someone’s homework

Cyrus and Juma- they are the grounds patrols
ensuring everyone is playing well and behaving.
If not they take care of it!  they are best friends
and have informed me neither want to get married
but become pastors “girls are just trouble”…apparently.
they were very supportive of my marital status
they are 11 but they talk to me with a presence
13 years older than that. not kidding
the other kids waiting for lunch
mash- i think there is rice in there and something that could be meat

i like the tiny ones 🙂
Friday is our last day to spend with the kids.  i wonder if i will see them again.

  1. Pictures ARE worth thousands of words. Thank you for your comments & the pictures. Know that you are held in prayer as the end of this mission approaches and am also holding these little ones & their keepers in prayer. In love, Sheridan

  2. Thanks for the pictures! Your braids look great by the way 🙂
