Put on as God’s chosen ones, holy
and beloved, compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, patience bearing with
one another, forgiving one another as the Lord has forgiven you so you also
must forgive. And above all these put on
love which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of
Christ rule in your hearts to which indeed we are called to in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly
teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom singing psalms and hymns and
spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, so
everything in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God the Father
through him.

Therefore I urge you to live worth
of the calling of which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness,
with patience bearing with one another in love eager to maintain the unity of
the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Lift your drooping hands and
strengthen your knees and make straight paths for your feet, so that the lame
may not be put out of joint but rather be healed. Strive for peace with everyone, and for
holiness without which no one will see the Lord.

The wisdom from above is first pure,
then peacable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial
and sincere. And a harvest of
righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

For God is not a God of confusion
but a God of peace.

We need an anointing of the Holy
Spirit, that our lives would bear its fruits

For the fruits of the Spirit are
love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and
self control.

The beauty of your peace- tim hughes

Your voice has stilled the raging
storms,

the wind and waves bow down before.

Your still small voice brings hope
to all,

who wait on you, we’ll wait for you,

to lead us to the place where you’ll
restore our souls

and all our earthly strivings come
to cease.

Take from our souls the strain and
stress

and let our ordered lives confess-
the beauty of your peace,

the beauty of your peace.
